We believe persons with disabilities should be valued, supported and given real opportunities to learn, work and live with dignity.
KPDDI is a grassroots, community-based organisation in Kireka, Wakiso District. We work alongside persons with disabilities, vulnerable children, elderly people and their families — more than 400 people each year — with food, shelter, help with education, and skills that build income and independence.
KPDDI is registered in Uganda as a company limited by guarantee and as a community-based organisation with Kira Municipal Council.

What we are building towards
Alongside today's programmes, KPDDI is working towards a larger vision for Kireka. These projects are planned — not yet built — and each one needs partners.
Inclusive School
Accessible classrooms where children with and without disabilities learn together, with teaching adapted to each learner.
Vocational Training Institute
Practical trades for youth and adults with disabilities — tailoring, carpentry, ICT, crafts, agriculture and entrepreneurship — taught accessibly.
Free Community Library
An open library for children and adults, with and without disabilities — literacy, study space and a place where inclusion is ordinary.
Accessible Shelters & Health Facility
Safe, accessible residential shelter and a health facility for rehabilitation, therapy and community-based care.
