Inside our reading room
Published 30 July 2026 · KPDDI, Kireka
Shelves of books. Tables full of readers. A rainbow painted on the wall.
The first piece of our community library is already alive: a reading room at our centre in Kireka, open to children with and without disabilities. On any given day you will find children at the tables with picture books and school books, volunteers helping with reading, and someone reaching for the next shelf.
The full vision — a free, open community library serving the whole community — is part of our future plans. The reading room is how it starts: proof, at small scale, that inclusion can be ordinary.
Books, shelving and reading volunteers move this forward fastest. If you can help with any of these, get involved.
