About KPDDI

Our Story

From Kireka, for Kireka

KPDDI grew out of community efforts in Kireka — neighbours organising support for people the community was leaving behind.

Today we provide practical daily support — food, shelter, help with education — and run skills programmes in which persons with disabilities lead the work themselves. Each year our support reaches more than 400 people: persons with disabilities, vulnerable children, elderly people and their families.

Alongside today's work, we are building towards a larger vision: an inclusive place in Kireka where people with disabilities can learn, train, live safely and access care.

Who We Support

People first, families always

We support persons with disabilities of all kinds, vulnerable children, elderly people, and the families who care for them. Support is personal — assessed family by family, in conversation with the people concerned.

If you or someone in your family needs support, contact us or come to Kireka. You can also just come in — phone first if you can.
