How we handle support
Support goes directly into the work in Kireka. Every contribution is acknowledged, and we tell supporters what their gift did.
Our commitment: as our projects grow, we will publish project reports — what was spent, what was built, what changed — starting with our first completed projects. Annual reporting will follow as the organisation grows.
Photographs & stories
We publish photographs and stories only with informed consent — with guardian consent for children — and people can withdraw consent at any time. Persons with disabilities appear on this site as they live: active, capable and central to their own stories.

Our privacy policy covers this website. Our safeguarding, child-protection and complaints procedures are being prepared for publication on this page — we will not describe policies here before they are adopted.

Is KPDDI legally registered?
Yes. KPDDI is registered in Uganda as a company limited by guarantee (legal name: Kireka Persons with Disabilities Development Initiative Ltd) and as a community-based organisation with Kira Municipal Council. Registration numbers will be published on this page once extracted from our certificates, and are available on request.
Where does my support go?
Into the work: food, school needs, tailoring materials, safer rooms and the running of our programmes in Kireka. We are a small organisation and we tell supporters what their gift did. Our first published project reports will set out what was spent, what was built and what changed.
Can I donate online?
Not yet. Online giving is being set up carefully — with proper accounts, terms and security — and nothing will be published before it is real. For now, contact us to give and we will make it simple.
How do I get support from KPDDI?
Call us, email, or come to Kireka — phone first if you can. Support is assessed family by family, in conversation with the people concerned.
Do you have permission for the photographs on this site?
Our policy is to publish photographs and stories only with informed consent — and with guardian consent for children. If you appear in a photograph on this site and want it changed or removed, contact us and we will act on it.
Can I visit before deciding to support you?
Please do. We would rather show you the work than describe it. Phone ahead and we will welcome you in Kireka.
