Clean water at our compound: the borehole is working

Published 30 July 2026 · KPDDI, Kireka

There is clean water at our compound in Kireka.

A borehole water point has been installed and commissioned at our compound, celebrated together with our members, neighbours and the partners who made it possible. For the people who live at and use our centre — including members with disabilities, children and elderly people — safe water close by changes every single day: drinking, cooking, washing, sanitation.

Water is one piece of the larger picture. Our supporting-infrastructure plans include water systems, solar power, rainwater harvesting and accessible sanitation across the site we are building towards.

We will publish the full project details — dates, costs and the partners to thank by name — as we complete our first project reports. That is how we intend to report everything: what was spent, what was built, what changed.
